Do Stem Cells Really Work? Anti-Aging Home Skincare with Xoul Stem Cell Products
Stem cells are known to promote regeneration of aged tissues and are deemed as a powerful tool in anti-aging and skin regeneration. In South Korea, stem cells are used for various health and aesthetic purposes including anti-aging facials, stem cell fat grafting surgeries, skin booster injections and the list goes on.
Naturally, it sparked our interest when we came across this popular Korean brand, XOUL Cosmetics, that offers an entire skincare line with stem cell fluid as the key ingredient. I decided to try Xoul's stem cell skincare line myself before we introduce it to Eunogo Shop. I was quite thrilled to try them mainly because of its interesting ingredient – Stem Cell Fluid, premium packaging with its super pretty peach color and overall neutral-toned, sexy branding.
Step 1: Xoul Calming Cell Toner
After cleansing, I apply Xoul Calming Cell Toner (130ml), which is an essence type toner. Its key ingredients include Stem Cell Extract which strengthens skin barriers, 8 different kinds of peptides known for anti-aging, and Centella Asiatica (CICA) which is known to soothe and calm the skin.
As you can see, texture is creamy and it has no fragrance. This toner is EWG certified and suitable for sensitive skin like mine. There are various types of toners serving different purposes like how OxygenCeutical's Cryogenic Activator is made for deep cleansing and pore scaling. Xoul's Calming Cell Toner is a cream-based toner that can serve as essence to provide the skin with nutrients that will maximize anti-aging effects.
Step 2: Xoul Secret Solution Cream Mask
After about 20 minutes of sheet masking, I can feel that all the essence in the sheet mask had fully soaked into my skin and the previously very rich and moist sheet mask is now dry. My skin feels very smooth, silky and deeply moisturized from within. If you have dehydrated or dry skin in general, this sheet mask will be perfect to rehydrate and give your skin the good anti-aging ingredients that it deserves.
Step 3: Skin Energy Fiber Jelly
When sheet masking, it is fun to eat Skin Energy Fiber Jelly, a high fiber supplement that includes Dietary Fiber, Vitamin B1, B6, Fruit Extracts, Niacin and Hyaluronic Acid. It helps with digestion and skin hydration.
This fun jelly texture supplement is surprisingly very yummy (It tastes just like Japanese Muscat grapes!!). Healthy and yummy snack for you or even your kids. Each box has 30 pieces and 2 pieces a day is the recommended serving.
Step 4: Xoul Layered Cream
After the sheet mask essence is fully absorbed, it's time to apply Xoul Layered Cream (50ML). Its key ingredients are stem cell culture fluids (20,000 PPM), 17 kinds of amino acids, Hyaluronic Acid and Niacinamide.
The pump packaging makes it hygienic and easy to use. The cream is very light-weight and hydrating.
Why is it called Layered Cream? Whether you have oily, combination, normal or dry skin, you can use this cream in different amounts! If you have oily skin, you can apply just one layer. If you have combination skin, you can layer it once and then apply another layer on the face areas you feel dry (usually outside T-zone). If you have dry skin or during winter, you can layer this cream twice. For me, I apply one layer in my morning routine and 2 layers in my night time routine.
Step 5: Ever Moist Lip Balm
A good anti-aging skincare should always include lip care. As we age, it is easier for our lips to get dry, even dehydrated, wrinkled and dull. Xoul's Ever Moist Lip Balm (8g) is formulated with stem cell extracts, and it not only moisturizes my lips and keeps them glossy but also exfoliates dead skin cells. Moreover, one of its key ingredients, Volufiline, is a French ingredient used in lip filler injections to add volume and minimize lip wrinkles as well.
It's a non-sticky, non-oily texture and gets absorbed into the lips fast. It offers a very refreshing spearmint fragrance, that is very mild.
I use this multiple times during the day and layer it on my lips to keep them hydrated and glossy. At night, I apply thick layer of Ever Moist Lip Balm as a sleeping lip mask. And the next morning, I wake up to super soft, moisturized, glossy lips.
My Final Thoughts
Overall, I love the look and feel of the entire Xoul cosmetics line. The color, very mild fragrance, ingredients, texture and packaging are premium. I especially enjoyed using the lip balm as I've been looking for an alternative to the Laneige Lip Sleeping Mask. It was just as moisturizing and keeps my lips glossy and hydrated, yet it was not too heavy or creamy, which is perfect for daily use. The spearmint scent and cooling sensation is also a big plus.
