Here at EunogoShop, we know how confusing it can be to come up with a whole new skincare routine, especially when there are so many steps involved. In this article, we've curated a handy skincare routine for those with oily skin type:
Step 1: Cleansing
While it is common for many K-beauty routines to include double cleansing (one oil-based cleanser/balm to remove makeup and one water based foam/gel), we consider cleansing collectively as Step One. Our recommendation is the OxygenCeuticals Pore Mask, a foamy face cleanser with oxygen bubbles. It reaches deep into pores boosting out dirt & oils with its soft, rich foam. Micro bubbles containing oxygen and lavender oil gently remove dead skin cells and wastes deep in the pores and brighten your skin.

Step 2: Exfoliation
Did you know that our skin cells have a turnover cycle of 28 days? That makes it so important to exfoliate the dead skin off your face and let the new cells celebrate their glow up! Team Eunogo recommends a mild chemical exfoliator using AHA, BHA or PHA which will gently remove excess dead skin cells, oil and wastes and provide the new baby skin cells more room to “breathe.” Exfoliate 2 times per week for oily skin to help increase both your glow, slough off unnecessary dead layers, and increase the absorption of your follow-up skincare steps.
EunogoShop’s Pick: Ceramine Botanical Peeling Gel
Step 3: Clay Mask
One of the most effective ways to make sure your pores are right and tight, especially when you have oily skin, is to use a clay mask to help give those pores a deep-clean. If you’ve had a prior experience of a clay mask leaving your face tight and dry after use, have no fear: Eunogo’s pick is a Transforming Clay Pack that will not dry out your face, but instead, leaves your skin hydrated, brightened, and excess oil controlled. Just check out the raving reviews! For oily skin, this clay mask step can be used up to 2 times per week, so let’s get to it:

Step 4: Toner
Gone are the days when toner used to be astringent and strip your face of all the oils your skin needs to regulate sebum. Welcome to the modern age of toners, where we use them to calm our skin, give it extra hydration, and even help prime your face so that makeup sets more beautifully! We love Ceramine's Dual Balance Vegan Toner for oily skin because it balances the pH of your face to slightly acidic, which is beneficial for the flora on your skin microbiome. Its green therapy provides nourishment that cares for the skin texture gently, controls the oil and moisture to make the skin texture soft, making it shiny and smooth.

Step 5: Serum
What is a Serum? In short, a serum contains a concentration formula of active ingredients with a light, easily absorbed consistency. Usually a serum will target a specific skin concern and will be used after toner but before applying moisturizer. For oily skin, Team Eunogo recommends a serum that uses the power of Centella Asiatica and Madecassoside to protect and strengthen your skin barrier and keep your face soothed and smooth.
EunogoShop’s Pick: Pure Energy Cica+ Ampoule
Step 6: Cream
Now that you’ve given your skin all the nourishment and attention that it deserves, lock in the moisture and all those ingredients with a hydrating cream! When searching for an excellent moisturizer for oily skin, keep Hyaluronic Acid (“HA”) in mind as a key ingredient. If you don’t already know, Hyaluronic Acid’s main job is to hydrate, hydrate, and then hydrate some more! If you have oily skin and you’ve already used the CICA+ Ampoule as a serum in your previous step, Team Eunogo recommends an HA based cream to seal the deal.

Step 7: SPF
If there is one step you cannot, and we mean CANNOT skip, it is applying sunscreen on a daily basis. You can read more about it here but please take our word for it: SPF is indispensable. For combination skin Team Eunogo recommends two options: tinted and untinted. The Rovectin tinted sunscreen has a velvet finish and gives a tone-up look to your complexion without any white cast. OxygenCeuticals’ TP (Total UVA/UVB Protection) Sun Cream is fast absorbing and provides a smooth layer under makeup. These two are both winners in our eyes!
Rovectin Anti-Irritant UV Defense Tinted SPF 50+ PA+++ (Tinted Sunscreen)
OxygenCeuticals TP Sun Cream (Non-tinted Sunscreen)
Bonus Beauty Tip:
Team Eunogo loves a sheetmask, and for those who are sebum challenged (read: oily skin) we recommend a weekly mask like the Antitox Spa Clean Mask. This one is a rinse-off mask, combining the efficiency of a foaming pore cleanse and the hydration properties of a traditional sheet mask. This unique mask foams when applied to the face and exposed to air, deep cleaning your pores and controlling oil production while simultaneously keeping your skin moist and supple with hyaluronic acid. A unique spa experience in every use, so treat yourself once a week with this fun mask!
